Dashboard! As a collector of band T-shirts and a lover of live music, I am faced regularly with the dilemma of what shirts to wear to shows. When I mentioned to Catherine that there is an understanding, a set of unwritten rules about what is and is not appropriate to wear to a live show, I think she thought I was losing my mind; but it's a real consideration for me. Obviously, wearing the merch for the band you are seeing is a complete no-no (though I am considering breaking that rule and wearing my 25 year old Fragility tour shirt when I go to see Nine Inch Nails later this year), so how do you decide what appropriately signals your cool and diverse music taste to the audience around you?
